Poker After Dark features Shana Hiatt's triumphant return to televised poker. The show went live on NBC on January 1, 2007, and it seems to be sponsored by Bodog Poker. It's a late night show, airing at 2am, and each episode features real poker players playing real games of Texas Holdem. It's a sort of poker reality show. Unfortunately, the reality of a poker table is usually pretty boring, so it's a good thing that Shana Hiatt is featured on the show to spice things up a little bit.

The poker tables in Poker After Dark are not located in NBC studios but are actually hosted at various casinos in Las Vegas.

Each episode features six poker players battling it out over a $120,000 prize pool. Each games lasts all week and is featured nightly Monday through Friday. Saturdays see a recap episode which reviews the action of the previous week. Winners discuss their strategies with Shana Hiatt in interviews that are both televised and made available on the show's official site.
